View Full Version : Homeade MR1 Tactical Sling

Just made a sling for my MR1.:) Heres what I did....

First find two large key rings. Take your sling ( i found my sling off a duffel bag) and attach the key rings to the end of each side of the sling. Now, ring your key ring around the butt end of the stock. Place it towards the bottom corner. Get some black electric tape and wrap it around the key ring and stock. This will prevent the ring from moving and give it more stability. Now take the front end of the sling and put the key ring around the feedneck. Now you can put on the plastic elbow and tighten that down.

There you are. A homeade tactical sling for your MR1. I will post pictures soon of my MR1 and sling.:D

Let me know what ya'll think.

Sincerely, DARKWINT3R

If you use the original feedneck i bet you will break plastic adapter faster with the key ring on, but not with CCM's feedneck. You may be able to place it on the barrel, the same way you put it on the stock, and put some tape to protect your barrel or feedneck from scratches. Nice work, waiting for pictures.

I have a clamping feedneck but I dont know how to put it on my mr1. Is there any way i can put a clamping feedneck on my mr1?

The only clamping feeds you can get for the MR1 right now is the new trinity t lock MR or CCM(you have to buy an adapter for this from sundragon).

That's exactly what I did with mine. Except I rung the key ring around the stock then taped it on. I also put the key ring around the feedneck.

I got a question. For the mr1 do I need a electric hopper or can I just use the one like you have?

I put the ring around the feedneck, but the clilp for the sling was too big, and i had to find something to attatch. I just use a gravity hopper. works fine for me. if you shoot fast, you may want to get a Revvy. you dont need a halo or anything. (if i can use my gravity hopper with my Pilot ACS, i can use it on my MR-1. lol)

Check out my set-up. I have a g36 carry handle, so I took a double dog leash for small dogs. Painted the ring and two clips black. One end clips to the loop on my vest, the other I run through my carry handle and clip to the loop.

Spyderbanger is that an MR1? Also if it is did u have to make any adjustments to put on the G36 handle?

No, its a MR3. And A Tippmann X7 carry handle. I had to modify that a little. If the MR1 has a 3/8 rail on top than it should work. Also, the handle is about a foot long.

I meant 7/8 rail, sorry for the confusion.
