my son had the Teardrop, I had a J&J Ceramic, both 14". To be honest the Teardrop was not as good as the J&J. the J&J was quieter and shot better. I would get a j&J over the teardrop. I still have the teardrop laying around, even though I no longer own any spyders. The kid who bought my son's Pilot ACS ended up taking my J&J because he didn't like the Teardrop.

I ordered the J&J. The opinion of this barrel seems overwhelmingly good! $30 on Ebay. That not too bad.

I read that the teardrop is the older version of the Progressive and are pretty much the same thing.
