I figure, we got a shoe thread. Why not a sunglass thread?

Oakleys Half Jackets with Black lens, Ice Polarized lens, clear lens, and a hard case em.
And my everywhere glasses, Oakley Thump Pros. I have black lens, Polarized black lens and a hard case for these to. Take that iPod:p
And yeah, post ur Sunglasses.

My oakley's
How do you like the Thump Pro's, I always thought they looked sort of wierd, but how do they preform.

I love em. No wires, easy to use, get all the looks, option of lens changable and they match my bike. They really get some attention once people realize their mp3's. I was only mad when i took a face plant trying to hit a jump and screwd up the right lens. Cant really tell but theirs 13 indivdual scratchs. But cant complain, not having to thread headphones through my shirt is nice. Also the music clarity is awesome, to point until its to loud then its all bass.

I have the same oakley half jackets except with fire polarized lenses and a soft case. I'll try to find a pic of them soon. I really want to get a pair of aviators:D

Edit: These are mine except the little O is silver not fire colored.

I love these and have had them for years. The ones I have are actually my second pair. My nephew broke the arms off my first pair. The picture above doesn't say polarized on the lens but mine are. I would really love another pair. Same style but the ones with the bronze colored lens. I always have trouble finding them. When I have the money I either can't find them at all or I can't find polarized ones. When I don't have the money they are abundant.

I have a pair of ESPN sunglasses that cost me $20 an have lasted 3 years. I'll put up pics tomorrow.

cheap sunglasses last forever, anything over $100, 2 weeks.

i got a pair of safety shades for 5 bucks....they work great!

My prescription eyeglasses are transitions, in Ralph Laren Polo frame. Dang things set me back nearly 400 bucks, because my wife thought I should get them - they're pretty nice though!

When I use to wear contacts, 10 dollar Wally World cheapies worked great for me! (Stupid eye problems that result in never wearing contacts again FTL...)

i had transition glasses like 2 years ago and didnt really like them. i didnt like the shade of the tint, and it took way too long to go back to normal.

and cheapo sunglasses are bad for you. they dont block uv rays while widening your pupil. this makes it easier for the rays to get into your eye and do bad stuff.

I wear an old pair of Nike sunglasses. I am not going to take a pic though. Grey frames and 2 sets of lenses, amber and smoke.

I have had them for years and they are still in great shape.

Its easy to get the lens out but the Gold lens won't look good with my frames. Plus I'd have to change them in and out all the time. The ones I want have the gold lens with gold frame and brown ear pieces.

These are kind of like what I want:

I see what u mean now.
After staring over the oakley site, ive decided on a pair of Livestrong Flak Jackets. I like the pair more than the bracelets.

07-05-2007, 01:55 PM

What frame is that?

07-05-2007, 02:44 PM

I got a big head so when i find i pair I like i uses pick up more then one, in this case I got every kind they made at the time: clear but polarized, yellow tinted, blue mirror and dark smoke. There actually safety glasses made by Nemesis but there the most comfortable pair of sunglasses i have ever used, plus it helps that i can just throw on my welding helmet and be ready to go.

For nice occasions where the Nemesis pairs wouldn't fit in I picked up a pair of docker sunglasses, cheap but they work.

I've been wearing Oakley since 1988. My current pair are Half-Jackets in carbon fibre color with persimmon lenses.
