These are alians if you didn't know http://www.alienpb.com/pages/products.html

They well rounded and now prettty cheap guns but they never seem to catch on.

Any of you guys know why the aren't to popular. Didn't the cannes used to shoot them?

i think they are kinda old

06-11-2007, 06:12 PM
umm those are from 2006...

maybe it has to do with not enough advertising

06-11-2007, 06:21 PM
Maybe a mix of underadvertizing, and noobs not knowing how to maintain them, or fix them. Apparantly they have a few problems, and they are "difficult to repair."

they arent as underrated as you would think. They arent as popular so thats there main thing holding them back. Their designs arent as flashy as say, DYE or PE's designs.

They are ugly, and very rarely do people (new people to the sport mainly) purchase a gun for operation. Looks attract first.

I laugh when the kids who own Shockers and DM's don't know what spool valves are...

The milling on the Alien markers is so bland and boring, it looks like something out of the Angel LED era.

A what???

Aliens are straight metal guns. If you like a gun that makes your hand bleed by holding it from sheer uncomfortableness and your eyes bleeding from it's fuglyness, it's a good gun. :) I don't remember the Canes shooting them, though...

06-12-2007, 09:46 AM
I think the Canes did shoot them at one point.

I have to agree with everyone else though, they arent the best looking gun out there...but their performance is up to par with most other guns.

I don't know - different barrel and grips and you have an EGO look-alike here...or at least something that's close!

well the new ones will look nice if they turn out like this maybe
go here

and some of the remains are pretty nice

The cannes def use to shot interceptors then remains before dm then egos now I believe?

06-12-2007, 01:13 PM
yeah, i deffinetly wouldn't mind having a remains (considering what the efficiency of those things have apparently) the new body looks awesome. i remember seeing that black/green concept image a while back

Wow, they are really cheap now. I had forgotten about them, but I could have sworn that they were over $1000 when they came out.

Those concepts have been around for over a year. It's almost like the BC line...

yeah, they are ugly and look uncomfortable. they got cp regs tho!!

Old interceptor feels great... but the two massive gauges are a big turn off, the eye covers are ugg and nothing else looks good.

IMO FEP quests are like 100x uglier than the remains. Alien needs to put new grips on them and they would sell better. Also FEP whoring out to NPS was a big step in getting them known by sponsoring people with them.

A little history lesson about Alien. They were born and raised on PBNation. They were actually an idea developed and harnessed in the Custom Marker forum.

Why didn't aliens catch on? Easy. Very few pros shoot them. Similar to kids wanting to wear the shoes of their favorite basketball player. People want to shoot the same markers the pro's use. As well as Eclipse and SP put a lot of money into putting their guns in players hands for this reason.

Alien markers are awesome. Fast and efficient as the rest of the crowd. The company is small. They don't have the ad/ promotional budget the big companies do. This is why when someone asks what marker I think they should get for "$X" I tell them to go out and try a few and see which one fits and fires best in their hands. :)
