What is a good non-paintball specific lubricant to use on your marker? I have a pilot a.c.s., i don't know if that affects anything. Some of the things i've heard you can use are Dow 33, 3 in 1, gun oil. Does anyone have any experience with these? I'm all out of the oil that came with the gun so i need some new stuff pronto.

3 in 1 and gun oil will deteriorate the o-rings. For a pilot, regular paintball oil is fine, and can be found at your local store, or probably even one of the big retailers that sell paintball equipment (walmart, sports authority, etc.)

Air tool oil (for pneumatic air tools) and Dow 33 (also known as Shocker lube) are good. I use Dow 33 on everything. You can get air tool oil from Wal-Mart.

on this topic, ive never used anything but spyders and the like. so i was wondering if its still a good idea to put a few drops of oil in the ASA on my PMR like i would with my spyder?

No bad idea, dye/proto guns use grease such as dow 33.

i reccommend slick honey with its warm out and Dow33 when its cold (slick honey gets to thick in the cold)

Question on the Dow 33... How do you know the difference from the other dow.... 35 I think? The kind I have is sort of a pinkish grey. It's from Hobby.

Dow 55 is the other one. Both of them (that I've seen) are pink. However, you should have some kind of marking on the outside of the packaging. Dow 55 to me was VERY slick - much more than the 33. It felt stiffer, and slicker - oh, and stank a lot worse, than my Dow 33/

I wish I could tell which lube it was by the stinky factor. :(

The Dow 33 I got from Hobby is white and barely smells at all.
