this isn't finished and this is a rare personal anno

fep says that the look of this has been addressed to something more appealing and flowing
Unlike the last fep gun (the quest which we all love) this has an on/off stock and the input of the reg is in the bottom now.

New bolt design, and how's 50 PSI out of the box.....Mine runs at 24 PSI and im shooting 2300 ball per tank...68-45 had 800 PSI left in tank but my fingers got tired so i colud have squeezzzed out a couple hundred more rounds,
if thats true then:) :D

That acid wash anno is kick ass. Looks like your hands would melt if you touched it. I LOVE the new milling job. Beautiful.

24psi? Are you serious?

I don't understand Quests at all... but I heard they are much like a Shocker, hence the "lawsuit." Smart Parts had. (This is what I heard..)

they aren't really besides that they are one tube they are similar to spool valves but they are dump chambers this is what allows them surpass other spool valves so much in effeciency at the trade off that they are a tiny bit less smooth but still smoother then rams
Fep used to be owned by nps so I think they were sued when nps was sued.

yay a price drop in the quest is coming I can sense it. (Maybe I'll hold out and get the q-7) I can't wait to see the kelevera(another new design) and the quest 2007(just new milling on quest)

Dump chamber? The Rail has a dump chamber - are they using a boost forward technology now?

Ace24

Do you have more information about this dump chamber design? (Wondering if I still want a Cyborg if these suckers are comming out)

That length is there to poke you in the face if you have anything less then a 68ci tank.:D

Wow that thing looks amazing. I don't like the grips though, and the ASA needs to be black instead, but still lookin ill.

they are not owned by nps anymore so you don't have to boycott them
quest animation (http://www.pbnation.com/showthread.php?t=1764572)
original quest videos from fep (http://www.firstendeavorpaintball.com/shop/default.html)
a good quest vid (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FHwsvHwTqzc)
another quest vid (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1fQi0xlEOCU)
the quest is pneumaticaly capped at 23 bps and has to be lubed on the bolt every case but it only has two parts with 6 orings and it takes less than 3 min to do it without the the tooles back cap upgrade from fep originally everyone used dow 55 on em but no everyone uses hatersauce on everything in the gun

tool less bolt removal thats why its so long

Look at the Hybrid no-tools cap for the Shocker. It don't need to be anywhere near that long. That's reaching ridiculous levels. Otherwise it's a nice gat, good find HeroGuy. :)

does anyone know when they come out?
How much they will cost or even an estamit CND please.
i love the look and pressure.

they are supposed to be out in 1-3 months I believe estimate around $1000 like the quest was when it came out

my question. how do you propel a paintball at 300fps with only 50psi?

bigred76
06-02-2007, 03:33 PM
Easy, that's probably the LPR. ;) There is no physical way to shoot a paintball at less than ~100psi unless you are in a zero drag, zero gravity environment... like space, for instance.

yeah. good point XP 50psi for the lpr pressure is nice still haha. i know bushmasters can get down close to that with a few mods

is a lpr a low pressure regulater?

24psi is scary low i thought spool valves ran of of one reg if i really does run at 4psi i bet it would cycle with me blowing in the asa

naw the shocker is the only one reger I know of

vikingshadow
06-02-2007, 08:08 PM
The Rail also uses only one reg. Off hand, I can't think of any other EP markers that don't use an LPR...

Theheroguy

oh yeah

well the legend is half ep

a nice flux capacitator will fix that. :dodgy:

wanna bet i have seen single shot muzzle loaded paintball guns made from pvc pipe and sprinkler valves that put a regular paintball through 1/4inch plywood at 100 psi. but theese guns have 3foot long barrels and chambers the size of 2 liter pop bottles. its possible just not in a standard paintball gun

HelpDeskHustler

tool less bolt removal thats why its so long
i prefer a different tool-less bolt removal process... its the one where you stop being a lazy tool and just get an allen wrench.

how much psi does an A1 run of of?
recommended settings are 270psi at the mini-reg and 57psi on the lpr, you can go lower but you have to up your dwell which slows the cyclic rate of the marker.

umm what if your like me and don't want to have to deal with allen wrenches?

the PMR uses a much shorter and more aesthetically pleasing back cap that does not require use of an allen wrench... but seriously... how hard is it to use an allen wrench I have like 10 that fit my back cap.

That is from sheer volume. 2L of 100psi air is a lot of air. I can't spot the 2L tank of 100psi on that marker, especially in tournament play. Noone will make it because it's purely impractical.

BTW, Imp's only have one reg too. Just remembered that one.
