Some of you may remember my Camaro, it is a rare Iroc Z Convertible which I recently found out is more rare than I thought, it was 1-500 convertibles made from 87-89 but it was 1-50 DE Edition Convertibles it being #49, DE himself owned #50. Anyway, I sold it the other day, the guy I sold it to is 21 but he is already an avid car collector, so I know he will take care of it. He is also going to start putting her in shows like I had originally intended. I sold him the car with all of the extras that I had added to it, as well as all of the stock parts that I took off from it (knowing that it is rare the only extras that are on it are bolt on upgrades). Figured I would share the final few photos that I took of it, one of its new owner giving her a nice rubbing ;).

I am going to miss her, but with everything going on, and me owning a few newer cars, and lack of time, I was afraid that she would get neglected.

If you don't mind me asking, how much did you sell it for?

That is not a pic of me... Hence me showing them.

And I will tell you guys how much I paid for it you can guess as to how much I sold it for...
I paid 6,500 for it, I put over 8,000 into it (edelbrock 350 being most of the cost) BTW the people that sold it to me kicked themselves after finding out what it was... they would really do so knowing it was 1-50

Wow - nice car! I always like the Iroc Z's....convertible's even better! I couldn't ever afford it while I was in college, though.

BTW - nice to see you here today! Been missing your posts!

I feel ya...my list of cars (and boats unfortunately) I wish I still had is pretty long. Good thing is that you sold her to somebody that is going to appreciate and take care of her.

That is actually pretty accurate (considering some of the other stuff he says) the Iroc Z was made for the NASCAR circuit, DE drove the first NASCAR Iroc in 87, they then made the DE Iroc in 88 (street version obviously) which was limited edition and all of Chevys drivers had first pick at them, 50 were made 25 sold to the public, #50 was owned by DE, it can still be seen at DEI racing showroom.

Very nice car Barron... They are hard to part with, but at least it is going to someone who will take care of it. I had a 2003 Mustang that I parted with. I babied that thing like nothing else. I sold it to a "family friend" who put it in the ditch less than a month later. At least you got some very nice pictures to hold on to! :)

All Fords belong in a ditch, car crusher or some other means of totalling.

Sad to see you sell it bud. My best friend's dad had a IROC Z hard top, well I think it had T-tops, anyway, I always loved going for a ride it in.

You're lucky I'm back in VA now. Had you said that last night, I would of swung by Goldsboro and smacked you.

Yeah the Irocs and GT 5.0 mustangs with the full ground effect kits in that area are my favorites. Still would like a trans am with the firebird emblem on the hood though.

Probably 10-11 grand?

Asking how much he sold it for is like asking him why he went to the doctor and what they talked about. Its just something you keep to yourself because im sure it was a decently large sum of money if it was 1 in 50...

Damn nice car! Wish that you coulda kept it, but priorities are a ***** sometimes. Oh well, just means that you have room in the stable to pick up another car to work on. ;)

Stop asking about price, fellas. If you REALLY want to know, Google it.
