leaking from gun itself

My friend bought a pilot and whenever he put in the co2 it would leak from the gun itself (like not from the barrel or hose or anything, like the chamber)because if you put your finger ion the barrel it would stop. What is an easy way to fix this if there is one?
Oh and when he cocked it, it would stop leaking and then it just leaked when it was cocked but not as much.

what it sounds like to me is the cup seal isnt fitting properly on the valve. make sure you always cock your gun before charging it up. you might try taking out your valve and lube/inspect the o rings there. if they look like thaey are damaged, replace em. hope this helps
