Whats the item you have from New Designs there?

It's either a trigger, a feed neck collar, detents or a back cap!

From the shape of the box, my guess is a back cap.

Ya, it's a back cap, but I haven't put it on yet. The gun is 300 times better then I thought it was going to be.

I don't... they are cheap, brittle, and EVERYONE has one. Thats why I got the Samsung SCH-a930

Wow - this turned into the RAZR thread? For the record, I have a RAZR as well, and I can say for certain it's NOT cheap (I've had cheap phones before, this isn't one), I haven't broken it nor come close to breaking it, and I don't care if EVERYONE has one - it's a phone. What are you guys, a bunch of girls?

Stay on topic here.

Have you shot the PMR yet? What do you think?

The first time I tried to shoot it was yesterday but once I aired it up, it started leaking out of the back cap, so I tightened and re lubed it. I tried to air it up again, the same problem. I then tired to mess with the reg, turning it u, and down, that didn't work. So I went to the PBN PMR sticky, and tried some of the things in there, but I;m out of air now so I can't test them, until I get air.

That's the most irritating thing I find about my PMR - the constant leaks. Once you fix them, you're good for the day, but until then it's very frustrating. I finally decided to start using Dow 55 on the outside of the firing can - that seems to help by swelling some of the orings.

Don't use it on the inside - that'll only cause problems!

Ya, I only have the lube they give you. I'll probably go up to the shop and get some Dow55 for the can o rings. Thanks for the tip.

ive had 1 leak because the back cap wasn't tight enough. other than that it pwns.

Hmmmm, it must be mine, because I can count on at least one leak everytime I lube it and put it back together again. Usually no more than one, but it's frustrating to say the least!

I'm just saying. Verizon Wireless representitves and technitions (holy crap I can't spell) have told me that the Razr is the most returned phone they have ever sold. That people break them more then any phone, and the LCD screens screw up often.

Back to the PMR's. Has anyone put up a video of one yet?

I think that's what was wrong with mine. I went to put the NDZ backcap on and I didn't tighten it in enough.

i could tell because it had horrible ROF and was giving me force shot errors and stuff, so i kept shooting and i noticed the bolt creeping out farther each shot.

vike, i basically lube everything, ive got some excess lube in the air holes for the bolt and it distributes to the bolt slowly so you can lube it less. I'm almost out of dye lube after playing 3-4 times. i wipe off the excess every time and relube, i guess i just love my guns.

Well, I lube everything as well. I may be guilty of OVER lubing, though I can't see that would cause a leak. I do this everytime I play as well. I guess you aren't the only one that loves his guns.

Is it possible to over-lube? I don't know if it is a Dye/Proto thing, but I seem to get a lot of bolt stick on my PM6. Vike, you ever have a problem with bolt stick on your PMR? Maybe I am just not lubing the right areas...I don't know....

In case I did...I didn't mean to hijack the thread

vikingshadow

I don't get bolt stick - that I know of. (I don't think this is a hijack either - at least not as much as the RAZR thing was!) However, I don't really cake the lube on either. I learned awhile back that way too much lube can gunk up the solenoid on my shocker, so I try not to do a lot on the PMR.

If you cake it on, that could be the reason you get bolt stick.

Doesn't the PMR board have ABS on it though?

No. Well, you can turn it on and off, but not adjust it more than that.

I think the ABS is kind of stupid, but it works. I shot the gun today, it rips.

if you get bolt stick it may be due to LPR pressures.

I played with it today. I was a little rusty after my 1 year break but the gun shot amazing. Claus/HDH how did you fix the back cap creeping out mine did it all day?

vikingshadow
05-12-2007, 02:43 PM
I'm not HDH, but make sure to wipe the excess lube off the cap, then when you tighten it down by fingers, give it a little twist with an Allen wrench - that's what I do, and it never backs out.

My buddies PMR leaked something horrible out of the back cap last week and we ended up having to go with the backup marker (my pilot). Ended up that the oring that the four set screws go into on the inside of the end cap failed (found a small piece of it in the little channel on the bottom part of where the endcap screws in). Vike, might be pointing him in your direction for some guidance since I'm not real familiar with the PMR's.
