Working on refining a very K.I.S.S. ( keep It Simple Stupid ) valve for my spyder imagine.

This was valve #2 in the process of designing a better simpler valve for LP use.

Body of valve is 7075 T6 aluminum. Sealing surface is designed like that of an automotive head valve with 30/45/60 degree angles on sealing surface.

Poppet valve is MDS nylon and it too has the 30/45/60 degree angles on sealing surface.

Striker reset gas is being controlled by changing diameter of vent holes in valves body.

***Valve in this version still has too much surface area ( Diameter ) and the gas pressure within LPC holds it down a bit tight requiring heavier striker springs & more venting to get a good re cock.

Design seems doable, just needing to tweak the poppet's diameter so it operates closer to that of a conventional valve. ( most likely going to need a small diameter steel pin to maintain flow )

damn man. that looks nice. i like how you have the recocking slots in it. it would give it a much more even distribution. I do worry about how the MDS Nylon will hold up to the striker hitting it
