detents---help

quick ?, I just got some eye covers and dont know what I should do as far as the ball detents. One cover already has a rubber detent already glued in the cover.

Would it be ok to just use, one detent thats stock and the rubber one thats on the cover on the other side?? Or can the gun work ok with just one stock detent??

The main thing is I am using bouncebeam eyes so I only need one side with a cover.

It should work fine w/rubber detent on one side and stock one on the other side, give it a try. If it doesn't work then you could trim the eye cover to fit with the original pilot detents.

Just remember the stock detents aren't that great.

whats wrong with them?? Do you think I need to cut a groove in the bolt since the rubber kind dont get pushed back, they just slide back and forth!
