Looks gooood. Though I'm not really a fan of the bullets in the magazine. It makes it look almost too real.

05-01-2007, 03:06 PM
I LOOOVE G36's. Nice choice in scenario upping.

(Looks better on an MR though :))

Not a huge tippman fan.

05-01-2007, 04:58 PM
It looks AWESOME!
I like it :)

05-01-2007, 05:08 PM
Nice look... I need to get a Tippy for my collection.

05-01-2007, 05:26 PM
meh i see to many like that at my own field. nothing special. but the G36 has got to be the best. hope you have fun with it.

I love G36's aswell. I'm with Moe about the clip though.

Looks sick though still, any reason why you chose an A-5 over the X-7?

05-01-2007, 07:12 PM
Q-load it, response trigger/e-trigger and LP and it will be perfect. Super sweet job:applause: , I'm see'n a Non-SOM for May candidate :D

BTW...if you want a Sweet Tac Light and mount LMK ;)

dang that thing is sweet...an air through stock would make it look even more real tho

tippies are a pain to REALLY clean... the metal isn't polished at all and the lube sticks to it horribly. pluns the half-tube + half tube gives way to some errors. i say get something shiny.

05-02-2007, 02:45 AM
Thanks for everyone's input! I can't do an air-thru stock since it's a folder but I do have a colied remote with slide check. The magazine clip actually looks better in person than the pics do. MVS, pm me with info/pic/price on the tac mount; I'm interested- this thing has picatinny rails everywhere. I have a ergonomic grip coming in the mail and also picked up a 3 point tac sling. I tore it down and did the polish internals mod on it yesterday. It's astounding the difference in smoothness when you get rid of the paint overspray and shine everything up.

Will do...

Ya it sure is, polishing internals and lightening/polishing the hammer/striker and I was able to drop operating pressures down to mid to low 400psi on my 98.

BTW I have the same BSA laser, did yours come with the remote pressure pad, if not I can throw that in too.

05-02-2007, 12:06 PM
i had to use what even i (the overluber) would call a "massive wad" of lube, just to keep my friend's a5 from catching on the metal on the inside of the gat.

05-02-2007, 01:31 PM
Yep, got the pressure pad and the foregrip came today which has the slotted area for it as well as battery compartment storage. I've read where some people have had trouble with the internals catching, but it's rare and Tippmann has awesome support I guess. I went to the chrono today and was 310 to 317 after polishing. I cranked her down to around 285-295. I'm not sure about the Opsgear G36 (unported) barrell yet. It has a noticeable report; I have my eye on a J&J 14" ceramic! :)

Just wondering, but did the tippy x7 cross your mind when buying this? at first glance thats what i thought it was. one of the nicest tippy barrels ive seen is the specops/stiffi joint venture c barrels.

Yeah, you even got the x7 hopper...

Gonna reg it and take it semi-LP?

05-02-2007, 05:08 PM
I just coudn't justify the extra cabbage for the X7 and from what I read (believe me I investigated on-line) it's basically an A5 with a different body and softer cyclone paddles; whoop-de-do! :dodgy: The other reason I went with the A5 is I wanted the opsgear G36 body kit and folding stock vs the X7. It has more rails to mount stuff and I feel it looks better. I don't plan on going lp, I don't see the necessity. Maybe an e-grip one day? -Thanks again guys.

05-03-2007, 06:30 AM
had one close to that at the field the other day. VERY heavy gun!

hope you like it though.

05-03-2007, 06:53 PM
looks neat, i like the style of it. how much does it weigh? PM me even if ya weigh it :D

05-07-2007, 01:52 PM
New pics up...

My rendition of Urban Camo!

05-07-2007, 02:23 PM
whoa, where did your paintball gun go? all i see is a huge ass gun XP
love the camo man

05-08-2007, 05:55 PM
looks sweet

05-08-2007, 07:06 PM
Bravo! Mr.Bravo

Looks like it would give the Predator a case of teh paranoids lol - ;)

05-08-2007, 08:43 PM
Holy crap! Thats sweet!

What does it weigh? Like 10 lbs?

05-10-2007, 06:05 PM
Got a smart parts 14" linear barrel and fabricated a home made silencer today:

05-10-2007, 06:25 PM
you mean MOCK silencer right ;)

05-10-2007, 06:39 PM
That is the coolest A-5 I have ever seen!

05-10-2007, 06:48 PM
you mean MOCK silencer right ;)

Well, of course!:dodgy:
I took and old d-cell maglight that was broken and cut the body down. I drilled a hole in the end the same size as the barrel with a slight bevel to match the end of the barrel. A pvc sleeve at the other end with recess-allen screws tapped into the aluminum to hold it in place. Some vent holes down the body and ...Boom Baby!

05-10-2007, 08:01 PM
I thought that looked firmillar. You actually found a way to break a Maglite? Those things are tested by running over them with semi's and have a lifetime warrenty. lmao looks sweet though.

05-11-2007, 01:40 PM
Thanks, I really needed to cover up that new barrel. It just didn't flow with the gun the way the G36 barrel does. Now I have a 12" unported Opsgear G36 and a Smart parts (ported) 14" Linear with SOCOM style silencer. I'm really pleased with it so far! :)

05-21-2007, 04:28 PM
New Grips! I got them for only a few bucks, for postage. They were seconds because the inside had air pockets here and there, but the outside is mint.

They are really comfy like Dye stickies.

05-21-2007, 06:42 PM
DAMN! :jawdrop::jawdrop::jawdrop::jawdrop::jawdrop: that thing is the freakin secks!!!! Definatly one of the coolest iv seen

05-21-2007, 06:52 PM
i like that mini hopper you made ^^

05-22-2007, 05:29 AM
Sandman I love that marker, but it looks like it weighs 10000 lbs :)

05-22-2007, 12:24 PM
i like that mini hopper you made ^^
Thats a smoke stack hopper. They sell them for A5's on the scenario market.
