I lost mine once and I just used an allen wrench to cock it.

First off, if you're paying $14 per pin you're paying way too much. sundragonpps.com has them for about $5. Secondly, the reason why that's happening is because the pin is hitting the back part of the slot on the body. If you mill/grind out that part, you will drastically reduce, if not eliminate, the problem.

I lost mine a while ago, went to remove the brass screw in the back of the bolt and even with heating it up to break down the locktite I fubared the brass screw. Drill and tap'ed the hole for a 1/4" coarse.

Went to Lowes and picked up a nylon 2" long 1/4" bolt and added a dab of blue loctite to it.

Nylon bolts are $.60 for 2 of them, got a rear cocking bolt and been happy ever since. No more "ping" (where did it go?) ;)

like what krypt said, id just stop the problem all together and buy a rear cocking bolt for it.

I used a short piece of fishing line and tied it to the Quick Disconnect Pin. Kinda ghetto, but I haven't lost another one yet!
