well, tomorrow im going on a 5 hour bus trip to go to another high school for the European Championship for competition air rifle shooting. we're placed 6th out of 7 overall for the regular season, but we're all new and its the first year any of us shot at competitions...and our best person quit, but she'll be back next year. 2 years ago (there were no competitions last year, long story) our school was 6th overall and then they took 3rd at Europeans, but, they had a lot better shooters. i'll just be glad if my team places 4th. and i found out that our school has had over 30 consecutive wins (over 6 years of being undefeated) in our conference, so we're going to be in the newspaper soon.

thanks guys. im leaving in about an hour and a half. i know we'll get our Northwest Conference trophy there, and hopefully another one. so far no one's shot a perfect 100 in prone this year, but theres a lot of people from some of the schools (including mine) that are getting close. i think the trophies they give out are these:
1st place for each region (3)
1st place team
2nd place team
3rd place team
highest overall score
highest prone score
highest standing score
highest kneeling score
and chubbz is right, its hard. i think im gonna take some muscle rub to put on my shoulder/neck after i get done, because those can really get sore when youre shooting for an hour almost non-stop.
edit: in my first post, when i said we were 6th out of 7th, i meant out of the 7 teams that'll be there. out of all the teams in europe, we're 6th out of about 13

yea always hard to nail a perfect score in prone...stinks because you need all the points you can to make up for standing

well, we got 5th, we were going for 4th. the top shooters were these chicks from the first place school (one of em i met through a friend on myspace) and the highest prone was a 99! we only got one trophy (regionals) and the school that won got 6 trophies overall (highest shooting score there, highest shooting score during the season, highest individual score, highest kneeling score, and some others). i got pics that i'll try to upload today.
