Bolt locked up on me...

... yesterday, I took my Imagine to my first day of play in a long time. Naturally, I was using Co2, but after about 3 hours of play, and in the middle of game, my bolt seemed to be uncocked, but when I tried to pull on it, it was stuck, and I couldnt get it to cock back. As soon as I got off the field, I tried a full Co2 tank, but it didn't do a thing. I then pulled the hopper off, and checked for any broken paint, but there was none. I then striped the gun open, but again, the bolt and striker would not come out. I finally gave up and took a screw driver to lodge the bolt out of the gun. It did come out with some force.

I then put the gun back together, and it seemed to be acting like it was out of Co2 (burping). So I tried adjusting the velocity and such, and it finally would cock at 350 fps :confused:

This problem is still not fixed, does anyone have any ideas why my bolt did what it did, and how I can avoid it. Or why my gun seems to be burping constantly.

That is bizarre. I've never heard of a bolt jamming other than from a bit of paint shell stuck between the bolt and body. Are you sure everything was put back together right? Are you using a spring kit? Are the o-rings all around the gun still in good condition, are they lubed? Have you lubed the bolt and striker well?

Especially check the striker o-ring and replace it if you haven't already.

take a pic of all the parts so that we can see if you are missing something. could be the spring guide.

did something pop out when you had to force it out with the screw driver that you didn't notice?

Sounds like two things screwed up ..

One, you broke a ball and a piece of shell got wedged between bolt and body.

Second, You nicked bolt or body getting it unstuck. Now you have the drag from the parts not sliding smoothly raising your pressure required to cycle the gun.

maybe a chunk of dirt jammed up the striker and ****ed up the oring?

Wow, this thread was a month old, I'd assume he already fixed the problem if not he would have posted so. Either way please do not bring back threads like this.
