Is there any way to reduce the weight of the Pilot without spending much? Or would it be better to just buy a new gun? Right now i have a SP Progressive barrel and a trinity feedneck. thanx

Half block it, which is basically cutting of the back half of the body where the bolt is.

I don't think there are any tutorials on how to halfback a gun. If you look in the picture pages you'll see some pictures of some. Basically you can cut a portion of the top tube behind the bolt off. You can pretty much do any design you want just stay about 1/4" away from the last o-ring on your bolt so it still seals.
Edit: Here (http://www.spyder.tv/forums/showthread.php?t=9798) is a good example of a halfback job.

what do you use to cut the back half off?
I used a hack saw, then you can use sandpaper or a dremel to make it smooth. I'm not sure how he made the curves in his though.

Haha, the key is to take your time. Be patient and hopefully it'll come out just like you want. Good luck!!

I think the curve was part of the gun before he halfbacked it.....

Oh that makes sense. He's lucky, most of the back was already gone, on a Pilot it's all there lol.
