I'm going up early Friday to set up camp and stuff. I'm taking my canvas Civil War Officer's (reinactment) tent as a 'staging' area and hospitality area for Team PennDragon...and I want to play the night game that night.
My 18 yr old daughter is going as photographer and my sister's lending me her digital camcorder. We can take footage, dump it into my duaghter's laptop and start over again. Lemme know if you're going, or your buddy and his girl...we can hang!!

Night game eh? Thats what I've upped my MR1 for haha. It's got a high powered lithium flashlight on it right now. (One that says on the box, "Do not look directly into light... could cause temparary to perminate blindness." Wich of course, I do as soon as I open it....

I hope to have the MR1 done by then... that is if the suggested parts by Kingman come out... Then I can finally get that damned MR3 rail and Red Dot I so desperately need.

Nice. I will be using the Ion, M98 (rain?), 68 Magnum or Trracer. I just made a deal...trading my stock Cocker for an 88/45 with newly rebuilt MaxFlo and 4 years left on hydro...

Man, talk about expensive, that's rediculous... I can play local scenarios for $25 entry fee and $55/case paint. It looks really cool, but not worth $126 at minimum... wow.

Ace...nope...88 biggun'...It's still smaller than my 114/45....lmfao

Click...try to envision what I'm talking about here and maybe you can understand why...

Skirmish is 700 hundred acres. Look at their posted "Stalingrad" map. From the German insertion point (roadway)to Dye Castle, it's about 900 yards. That;s only half-way across the length of the field! It's almost equally wide...
Inside all that wilderness are 50+ fields. At least 40 of them are 'structured' in some manner. Tippmann Castle alone sits on a square city block. There are buildings, pipe, wheels, towers, spools, A-frame bunkers, tanks, choppers, grass huts, an air field (plane wings, fuselages, tail sections, engine parts, props, etc etc).....plus the tourney complex. Then there's the brand new pro-shop, the food line, the porta johns and the FREE teching service. There's liability insurance, food vending licenses, telephone, web-related, power, lighting, lawn care equipment, vehicles and fuel bills. There are (at least) 2, $5500 compressors for air and CO2 fill stations to service and maintain. Then there are the wages for employees, promoter's fees and advertising...

Three times a year they put on...the absolute BEST MilSim Scenario events of all time...Battle for Berlin, Battle of Stalingrad and their largest...Invasion of Normandy...not to mention the other events they schedule the rest of the year. They are touted as having hosted the largest...no wait...THE LARGEST Paintball scenario event of all time, anywhere on the planet.

All of that requires two things...
1. Players
2. Money

There's no way the field could sustain that type of environment on a measly $80/person. You couldn't get the quality of game with that. You cannot understand the magnitude of this field until you actually walk it once (not playing) and then play a game where there's up to and over 2000 opponents, all shooting at you at the same time...

Sure it's expensive...but it's well worth it. You cannot know the intensity of their games until you've actually been there. This will be my 4th Normandy (missed last year's due to surgery) and I wouldn't miss it for the world. I burned two vacation days for the prior 2 days off, just to get ready for the event and that weekend I'm supposed to work. I took "no pay" days to have that weekend off...it's that awesome...

*twitch* I hope I have enough $$!!! I'm deff going to have my gun ready by then. The question is if I'll have the $$ for paint and entry. :(

Ugh! I really want to go to this haha. If not, there is always the other events.
