T1 kits normally go for $150. IMO, GO FOR IT BEFORE HE REALIZES WHAT IT'S WORTH!

Less kick, more accurate, and you cannot use CO2 on them. Basically it's the cheap version of doing this (http://www.ottersccustoms.com/timmy.html)to your marker

Less kick, seems like a decent deal although you could sell your spyder and get a little more money than what you are spending on this kit and pick up a nice B2k4 w/ pds, ion, or a promaster.

By that name you know longer can, since Dragun Empire isn't making them any more. There is another company making a close replacement to it, but the name has slipped my mind. I think Vike may know it, I believe he ordered from the store that sells them once, that one store with all the Dragun stuff!

lol ok another question.

i remember reading, a while back, that the zip kit had cheaper (lower quality) parts than T1 kit.

that true?

bigred76
01-23-2006, 05:25 PM
LOL, Dynasty, you typed faster than me. I haven't heard of the ZIP kit having cheaper parts, just is cheaper for some other reason...

FredPo

I'd just save your money and buy an ion. Those zip kits/the one kits just aren't worth it IMO.

whats the point of owning noobs? leave the noobs alone, and start playing with the tourney/other decent players and you will get alot better, faster.

The kit has nothing to do with eyes, the board is wat supports eyes.

Ricochet you've got a pretty sweet looking spyder right now! If he offered you the kit for $100 try talking him down! Also if you want to keep your spyder look into making it a spimmy! 2k2 part's are dirt cheap now you could almost make one for a little over $100 now!

yea dex, i luv my spyder :) don't think im ever gonna get rid of it :p

qaz, i was thinkin bout making it a spimmy, just not sure yet. and i'll definitely try 2 get the price down if possible :)

covert24
01-24-2006, 11:54 AM
yup exactly wut i was thinking about the spimmy. itll only cost about 250 to make a spimmy now. as oppesed to over 500. yes im with u ricochet i luv my spyder and i dont plan on getting a thousand dollar gun. Keep it gangsta wit the OS(original spyder)

*T-board* thats all i have to say about that.:pwnd:

Id rather buy a dirt cheap gun and trick it out with the extra money. thats wutim doing wih my electra onyl it wasnt really dirt cheap:) :D

bigred76
01-24-2006, 12:24 PM
Well, the problem with that is that your Spyder will always be a Spyder without a ****load of modding. A T-Board only increases the capped ROF and allows you to set different settings. Intimidator Board >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> T-Board. And that's only the tip of the iceberg. I don't feel like typing more, or I would give you other reasons.

QAZ123
01-24-2006, 12:43 PM
If you must just make a spimmy!! The 2k2 part's are so cheap anymore!! By the time you bought a t-board and a zip kit you could have bought almost all the part's for it!

Well, I used to say that I'd never shoot anything more than spyder and own people and so on....after I paid an ungodly amount for it to begin with (noob mistake) then dumped 600-700 into it! I paid as much for that Spyder as I did my Shocker...

Then I went higher end, and haven't looked back. Be all the OS OG OMG ROFL ROFL COPTR FTW XYZ you wanna be, shoot all the "noobs" you want, but don't be hating on the 1000.00 guns either. They have perks that Spyders will NEVER have...out of the box! Trust me, been there, done that and learned an expensive lesson. There's a reason people in the higher ranks above rec and woods (not just pros) shoot guns OTHER than spyders...

is the microswitch on a timmy bord attached or seprate

covert24
01-24-2006, 12:53 PM
i aint hatting on high end guns. they are amazing at wut they can do and how they do it. im just saying i dont feel like saving up 800 dollars at one time for a gun. id rather spend 800 dollars over a very long period of time and watch as the spyder looks over time. but thats jsut me. ive had spyders for a while and never relaly had too big of aproblem with them. and also if u break something on urspyder its very cheap to replace. such as a trigger frame. (just an ex.) a new spyder Esp/CAMD frame costs about 90 bux including shipping. but lets say a Clamshell for a timmy costs about 200.

QAZ123

microswitch on a 2k2 is separate. anything above 2k2 I believe there all on the board!

Try $165 for a new one Tim. Maybe you should research.

lol i was closer. the last time i saw NEW one on a website with all theinternals it was close to 200+

geeZus

With all internals its well over $300.

Thank you. I have been holding back saying that, reading several posts, when people talk about anything they don't know much about and talk like they are a god, it's rather annoying. Not to mention blatantly obvious reading these posts who doesn't have a clue what they are talking about.

how big are the solinoids?

geeZus
01-24-2006, 01:59 PM
The solenoid on a timmy is the length of one and a half spyder boards. Thats an estimation. I can't tell you exactly since I don't have one in front of me anymore. Its about half the length top to bottom of a clammy.

DexGtr
01-24-2006, 02:12 PM
i luv my spyder and i dont plan on getting a thousand dollar gun. Keep it gangsta wit the OS(original spyder)

making it a spimmy actually doesn't make it a spyder anymore....since you're going to be only using the body...:p

and belive me higher end guns have their place....i shot my ion the other day..and damn...and that's just a mid level gun...there's a hell of alot of diference.

I used to say that my spyder owns every thousand dollar gun...but with so many mods on my gun running it reliably for a length of time was hard.

A spyder is and always will be an entry level gun, and that's not hating...that's just stating facts.

and to the original poster...if your spyder is running LP right now...leave it at that...making it a spimmy is a waste of money IMO. save that money and get a shocker or something.

Timmy noid: 2 1/4" long, 3/4" wide at the widest (1/2" wide for most of it), and 7/16" thick. I didn't measure it with barbs, but those are exact numbers.

werll once i "waste my money" on a zip kit it technically wont be a regular spyder anymore. itll be a "EP" Spyder. just like a spimmy. all the internals except for the bolt are aftermarket. IMO i dont think spending 700+ on a gun is in my best intrest. Now Hold on with the flaming. if u have themoney then go right ahead. but for all of the othe rppl who want to play paintball sooner and have a decent amount of money for a spyder and some upgrades and dont want to save up for a while then go with wut u can get and get a spyder. but yea this thread is toast. i suggest closing it or deleting it. cause its kinda getitng into a argument.
