MR2 Solenoid Problem.

I have just pulled my MR2 out of storage and charged it up. After if was charged i went out to shoot some rounds through it. When i pulled the trigger the marker would not respond. I took the grips off and watched as I pulled the trigger. The solenoid wouold not move. I put a drop of oil on the shaft and pushed it a few times with my finger. It would now fire, but if i let it sit again for an hour or so it seizes up again. Has anyone else had this problem and how do you fix it.

Been here done this....applying oil hinders the operation of the noid because it makes the parts stick together. Though I never manually applied oil to the noid in fear of screwing up the electronics, it did seep into that area from the striker port. All I did was removed the noid and cleaned all the oil off and it worked just fine after. Essentially clean the while area of oil seepage. If you applied oil to the noid it may have seeped into the windings and screwed it up somehow as well -
